My name is Ethan De Souza. I am a student at Diablo Valley College, California. My major is Cognitive Science. I study how the mind works, processes information, and directs behavior by combining insights from multiple academic fields of Psychology, Computer Science and Philosophy.
I am particularly interested in studying evolutionary cognition and continuously research how mental traits and problem-solving abilities evolved over human history. I have found this can help us understand how cognitive offloading can lead to atrophy of critical thinking capabilities in humans
